Practice CT600 filing priced per return, with no per-user licence
Taxley is priced per return for accounting practices: each client return is paid for when you file it, by card or with prepaid credits, and team members cost nothing extra. It files only for UK-resident micro and small companies, and purchased credits expire 12 months after purchase.
Opening a practice account and preparing client returns is free. You pay for a return only when you file it.

What can't a practice's credits or fees cover?
Per-return pricing comes with a few rules and limits.
- Choosing card over credits. While the balance has the credits a return needs, they are used automatically when a team member pays.
- Old credits. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months; unused ones are removed when their pack expires. They have no cash value and can't move to another practice.
- The CIC pack. Credits don't pay for it; it is paid by card.
- Some companies and periods. Taxley files for UK-resident micro and small companies only, and checks whether it can file each accounting period before you pay. It doesn't file confirmation statements.
- Client authorisation. Your practice must already hold each client's HMRC agent authorisation. Taxley can't check it.
- Advice. Taxley is software from Taxley UK LLP. You review each return and use your own judgement before filing.
How is a client return priced per return?
Each return pays the fee for its accounts, and nothing is charged for seats or months. Every client company files its own Company Tax Return for each accounting period (GOV.UK: Company Tax Returns), so the cost follows the work.
| Return | By card | With credits |
|---|---|---|
| Dormant company | £9.50 | 1 credit |
| Micro-entity accounts | £49.95 | 1 credit |
| FRS 102 small-company accounts | £139 | 2 credits |
Credit packs run from £295 for 10 credits to £1,450 for 100, or £14.50 a credit. No VAT is charged. A return's fee or credits also cover filing its accounts at Companies House, and sending it again after HMRC rejects it costs nothing more. Amending a return first filed with Taxley costs nothing extra.
How do you set up a practice account?
One account holds the practice's clients, team and credits.
- Open a practice account. Preparing returns is free; nothing is charged until you file.
- Invite your team. Add people as admins or staff. There is no charge per person.
- Add your clients. Find each company on the Companies House register, or paste up to 100 company numbers at a time.
- Buy credits if you want them. The owner or an admin buys a pack; otherwise each return is paid by card when it is filed.
- Prepare and file. Each client return is paid for at the payment step, then sent to HMRC.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a charge for each team member?
No. A practice account has no per-user licence and no subscription. The owner invites team members as admins or staff, they all use the same credits, and you pay only for the returns you file.
Which returns use 2 credits?
A return with FRS 102 small-company accounts uses 2 credits. A micro-entity return and a dormant return each use 1 credit. Filing the accounts at Companies House uses none.
What happens when the credits run out?
The return's fee is charged by card at checkout. If the balance has fewer credits than a return needs, for example 1 credit for an FRS 102 return, no credit is used and the card pays the whole fee.
Do credits expire?
Yes. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the purchase date, and each credit you use counts against the pack that expires first. The billing page and each receipt show the expiry dates.
Does resending a rejected return use more credits?
No. Credits are used once, at the payment step. Sending the same return to HMRC again, for example after a rejection, doesn't use any more.
