CT600 software for accountants and practices
Taxley is CT600 software for accountants. File CT600 returns for your clients from one practice login. Prepare CT600 Corporation Tax returns and FRS 105 or FRS 102 §1A iXBRL accounts for all your clients, as their agent, using your own agent Government Gateway credentials.
The practice portal
How does Taxley's CT600 software for accountants work?
The practice portal is built around agent filing: you manage clients, approvals, deadlines, credits and receipts from one practice account, and live HMRC submissions use your own agent Government Gateway login. Approval links and agent-authorisation checklists keep each client's filing record together, but the client's HMRC authorisation must already be in place.
- One login
- Manage clients, approvals, deadlines, credits and receipts from the same practice account.
- Your credentials
- Live HMRC submissions use your own agent Government Gateway login.
- Client evidence
- Approval links and agent-authorisation checklists help you keep the filing record together.
How it works
How do I file a client's CT600 through the portal?
Each client takes four steps: add the company, one by one or by company number with Companies House lookup; prepare the CT600, computation and iXBRL accounts; send the return to the client for approval through a secure link; then file to HMRC with your agent Government Gateway login once approval and checks are complete.
-
Step 1: Add clients
Add clients one by one or import by company number with Companies House lookup.
-
Step 2: Prepare the return
Enter the company figures and prepare the CT600, computation and iXBRL accounts.
-
Step 3: Request approval
Send the return to the client for approval through a secure link.
-
Step 4: File to HMRC
Submit with your agent Government Gateway login once the client approval and checks are complete.

Honest limits
What can't the practice portal do yet?
It can't check a client's HMRC agent authorisation, which your practice must already hold, and it supports only UK-resident micro and small companies, including older years back to accounting periods starting on 1 April 2020. It files each client's accounts at Companies House, but not the confirmation statement.
- Taxley files a client's accounts at Companies House with the client company's authentication code, but it doesn't file confirmation statements.
- The client's HMRC agent authorisation (64-8 / agent services account link) must already be in place before you can file for them. HMRC gives software no way to check or verify that authorisation, so it is on the practice to hold and evidence it.
- Currently UK-resident micro and small companies only.
- Older years back to accounting periods starting on 1 April 2020, and none earlier.
