Directors of UK limited companies of any business type — trading, services, or property — filing micro-entity (FRS 105) or small (FRS 102 §1A) accounts. Dormant companies and charities/CASCs (CT600E) are supported, long first periods are split into two returns automatically, and you can manage multiple companies under one account. Accountants and agents can also file on behalf of clients (agent mode) using their own Government Gateway login.

No — recognition is HMRC's optional technical accreditation, not an endorsement, and it is not required to file. Taxley is independent and files Corporation Tax returns live to HMRC using your own Government Gateway login. It is still maturing, so review your return before you file; see the status note in the footer.

For anything beyond the simple case, yes — and for trading companies, capital allowances and loss relief need an accountant. Even for the simple case we recommend a qualified review; the computation and iXBRL tagging carry expert-review flags.
